Stream Bed

Cherokee County, Kansas

I find it hard to cross a stream that I don't spend some time walking along the stream bed, especially at this time of year when the water levels are low. There is always in the back of my mind that elusive arrowhead, knife blade, fossil or some rock that's begging to be turned over for a moment.

Thanks to those who wondered where I've been for a while. I had surgery last week to hopefully treat the prostate cancer I was diagnosed back in December. All went well. I will not be wandering too far from home for a few weeks but I will be looking into the photos I have in my archive to post and to enjoy seeing and reading others work as well.

Wow Larry, I didn't know.

My dad had surgery back in 1998 for prostate cancer...he's almost 85 years young now....and still going strong.

I wish you all the best for a Speedy Recovery! You will be in my prayers!

Larry -

Welcome back. When I had heart surgery back in December, the first thing I wanted to do when I got back home, was to visit your site. It offers the kind of serenity that helps during recovery.

Hang in there. It gets better over time.

Best of luck, Larry! Had mine out in July. Feel free to drop me a line (e-mail address on my blog), too, if you want to compare notes and/or experiences, or if you have any questions about what your recovery might be like.
