This looks like a place I would like to shop. I dislike malls but love markets.

I tend to think of Kansas as kind of boring, and it is when you drive through on the interstate, but your pictures are fascinating. I stand corrected.

Very beautiful. Love visiting the markets to see how the local do their marketing. I like to be in the beautiful lighted horse drawn cart, make me looked like cinderella. :)

I guess it won't surprise anyone to hear that the night shots are my favorites. I love the one of the carriages especially. And both of the ones you captioned as window displays. Awesome shooting!

I would love to visit your world and ride in one of those lighted horse drawn carriages. So unique reminds you of Disneyland electric parade.
I love the shop windows scenes you captured. I have been to Independence, Kansas years ago but never did I see such wonders back then.

This is not what you expect from Kansas, but that's beacuse we are always shown the same images. That's why blogging is so good to see the world through ours eyes.

All one would wish, a nice town, good shots, history and a general view of how people live there. Great post.

Such a beautiful place. When I think of Kansas I imagine wheatfields, not Cinderella coaches!
