With the ice and snow we had last week we did spend more time inside by the fire, catching up with a few books and new seed catalogs. Schools were closed, and plans canceled.

The quiet flurries that filtered down created a few quiet, peaceful but
extremely cold afternoons.

The snow and ice melted
this past weekend, the sun came out cardinals began to sing creating a false sense of spring being around the corner, which it is not.

Great pics, unfortunately we dont' get snow days up here, cause if we did we'd be home for 6 months of the year....lol.
Cheers!

Snow is melting. The cold is leaving. I like snow...
I don't know about you, but we just got another inch or so of snow.
Very nice frosty landscapes. I liked the fourth one most.
We have a lot of snow in southern Finland and it´s not even melting at the moment.
So envious of your snow. Nothing but rain here.
I love the peace that snow brings to everywhere
pretty pretty pics!!
Take care and thanks for sharing your world with us.
I Dad came from S.W. KS ,near Hays, and I still have many relatives near there with my last name. Were you all out of power for a while?
