Evening Doe

I came across this doe on my way home last evening. She had a single fawn with her who wasted no time sprinting into the edge row. Most of the does Ive seen this lately have had twins, a good summer for fawns I guess. For more camera critters visit here.

A good capture of the doe. So often an encounter such as this makes an outing stand out in ones mind for years to come.

The situation is just the reverse here with the twin situation this year. Last winter was not particularly severe, which may often cause a low birth rate. It may be because of predation as I did see a bear and have heard coyotes.

Lovely photo of this beautiful doe. I guess I'm glad the little fawn knows how to hide, but it would have been fun to see too. yesterday's Camera Critters post about Molly and Aloha. Today I've featured Ms Kitty at Small Reflections. Of course I try to maintain balance ;--)

Wow, she posed just long enough for you to get such a beautiful and grand photo. You were luck. I get blurs in the distance such as this... very well done!!

She's on high alert watching you watch her! Very nice photo. Saw my first doe in Gig Harbor. She seemed confused by some of the barriers put up to control run off from road construction. Didn't see any fawns but they could not have been far away...

Nice shot. I'm surprised she didn't take off when she spotted you and your camera!
