Out and about again

This past winter left a few holes in our lives here at the place. It also seemed destined to freeze our toes and hearts at the same time. I finally have gotten around to taking my camera on walks and rides again, a welcome companion.

Spring is here and Ive seen the Turkey vultures return from the south, just behind the Robins who have staked out little turfs in our pasture. Ive been fishing for crappie and seeing Cedar Waxwings in the you guessed it, the cedars!
We have a new face around here, Cleatus a mostly Basset Hound rescue, whose bark is deep and conjures up visions of riders following large packs of hounds. Every time he barks I say to my wife "don't ya love that bark? Isn't that a great bark?" She smiles and says "yes it is".

Basset hound barks are the most beautiful sound :)
