While I was at the county fair last week I wandered around the horse barns. Dark and cooler than the arena
there is a certain quiet
that's broken by the
occasional hoof stomp or that sound horses make when they exhale
abruptly kind of a "
hurmpfff". Ole Blue eye was there. He had one blue and one brown eye, interesting fellow.
Elvis was in the house.
Up close and personal with a horse with style.
Most of the time is spent waiting and
visiting.
Washing and grooming.
Getting a little exercise.
Or deep in thought.
