ABC Wednesday Letter O

O is for color orange seen here in the bittersweet that lights up the fence row near our pasture.

My wife makes her annual hunt for it among the other plants avoiding the poison ivy, most of the time.

What a brilliant little plant! Poison-ivy always sounds scary. I grew up with English thistles and they were bad enough!

Well, that's another plant I've never heard of... I'll have to go Google it...

I've always wanted bittersweet in my garden.
It is so lovely in the autumn.

It looks very bright and beautiful. I've just looked it up in Wikipedia, and it describes it as a "serious invasive weed" - is that right? But it looks so attractive!
Thanks for participating.

I'm not at all fond of the colour orange - except when it comes to plants and flowers! There's something so cheerful about it in the autumn!

I've never heard of bittersweet. I bet it won't grow here!
