Our World Tuesday; The Dewey Hotel
The Dewey Hotel located guess where? Dewey Oklahoma. Dewey at one time hosted one of the worlds largest Roundups (rodeo). The hotel was built by a gentlemen who the city of Bartlesville is named after. Its a wonderful three story place that takes you back to the old west.
The first floor has the restored office and kitchen, dining room, upstairs on the second floor are the first set small rooms guests stayed in. The wood floor creeks as you walk down the long hallway past the numbered doors.
The third floor is where the men stayed, cowboys, rodeo stars and cattlemen. There was a private staircase out back that led up to this floor, and a gambling room. You could almost smell the cigars and whiskey from days gone bye.

I can easily imagine the creaking of the wood floor in this lovely hotel. Thanks for providing an armchair journey into the past. :)
