Random Wanderings
Warm weather has returned to SE Kansas, a few images I took while we were still in the grasp of the cold. While hiking I saw lots of waterfowl; mostly Mallards, some Goldeneye, a few Bufflehead, also saw a lone Bald Eagle feasting out on the ice on one of the above.

Winter
Plowed Field
Crawford County Kansas
Antisthenes says that in a certain faraway land the cold is so intense that words freeze as soon as they are uttered, and after some time then thaw and become audible, so that words spoken in winter go unheard until the next summer. ~Plutarch, Moralia
