County Fair Time

Its County Fair Time again in south East Kansas.

Spent a warm morning watching young folks learn how to judge livestock the other day. It never fails to amaze me how much work, effort and pride they take in their work.

That's My World! Tuesday

 On the way home from Texas my wife and I stopped at a really flea market outside Waco to stretch our legs and discovered this very cool Museum in the back of the building!

My World Tuesday

Yesterday I decided it was just too nice to do chores.  I loaded up the camera and went for a ride. Our part of the world still has gravel roads that wind through the countryside, up and down hills. Its hard to get lost as  most head east and west.

I came across this old church built in 1915, the last remnant of a once thriving town called Cato.

and creeks along the way, a lone coyote, red tail hawks, turkey buzzards, scissor tail flycatchers, all shared the mid day with me.

My World Tuesday

I wandered around a County Fair Recently here in South East Kansas. These are some of the things I saw;
The Hog Barn was a hot bed of hog activity. This young man seemed a little uncommitted with his entry.

It took several guys to get this hog going in the right direction.

 This young lady seemed to be glad about her entry.

I actually was early, lots of good fair food had not even opened yet.

The politicians were there.

The horse barn, a favorite stop of mine was actually pretty empty.
