Skywatch

The other morning I was outside doing chores the sun rose and turned everything a warm gold for a while. I turned and and spotted this rainbow in the west. Usually I see them in the east later in the day. I ran into the house and got my camera. It had started to fade when I returned , as the sun began to slip up behind the low clouds.
For a while it was an entire arch, a little faded in this photo.
Mostly gray skies this week, today looks to be a break from that, cooler temperatures and maybe a break from the humidity.
For more skywatchers or to join in the fun check here.

Beautiful rainbow. Did you travel to the end of it? What did you find, a pot of gold or munchkins?

There has to be a pot of gold at then end of this. Very ominous sky, but brightly coloured foreground and rainbow.

Even with damp weather there is so much colour in these shots. Lovely and rainbows are magic.
Thanks for your visit and comment. Have a good weekend.

I know how hard it is to capture a rainbow, so I think you did a wonderful job with this one. Enjoy your nicer weather.

Rainbows are so difficult to capture - they're so... fluid! Nicely done.
